Natural History Museum Summer Camps are starting to fill up, but spots are still available for three of our fun-filled sessions!  While our first session, Wildlife Detectives has a waiting list (available here), young scientists ages six to nine can still get in on the action of themed hands-on activities, museum collections, games, and art in our remaining open sessions. 

In Feathered and Ferocious, campers can explore evolution and zoology by learning to see real fossils and bones through the lens of paleontology.  They’ll dig into “excavation cakes”, learn about the fossilization process, create fossils, and compare findings to the wonders of modern birds.  In Big Blue World, we’ll dive into the exciting mysteries and life in the ocean- a wave of fun and marine biology.  Campers will get to know your tidepool neighbors and the wild and wacky creatures in the deep sea and have a blast doing it.

Older campers ages nine to twelve get to be and MEET Science Heroes!  They will explore different paths to science careers in different disciplines, be inspired by real scientists in our incredible community, and try some real-life science skills.
