Celebrate Earth Week at the NHM

Celebrate Earth Week at the Natural History Museum with different activities each day.  

Regular museum admission applies 

  • Tuesday 3-5pm Living Animals & Plants - Stewardship

    • Greet a Leopard Gecko and Stick bugs and make your own packet of seed to grow

    Wednesday 1-5pm Plant and Animal Homes

    • Celebrate Earth Day with the NHM by learning about local animal homes, planting seeds to take home
    • Test your knowledge of young to mature animals 
    • Take home a Dawn Redwood to plant!  The Jonsteen Company has generously donated Dawn Redwoods for this event!  Come get yours to take home while supplies last! 

    Thursday 3-5pm Explore Plants

    • Use the sun to make a collage of prints
    • Look Closer, Make Connections as you learn more about the living things around us

    Friday 3-5pm Wildlife Connections

    • Who made that track?  Explore the clues around us
    • Add to a community collage of ecyostystems 
    Gecko and Stickbugs and make your own packet of seed to grow

Wednesday 1-5pm Plant and Animal Homes

  • Celebrate Earth Day with the NHM by learning about local animal homes, planting seeds to take home
