Talk Description:  Discover the powerful role insects play in our local ecosystem. From Beetles to Bees and beyond. Explore the fundamentals of insect life and take a guided journey through Humboldt county’s largest insect collection featuring over 400 species.

Speaker Bio: Born in 1989, Kevin Huntley has dedicated his career to exploring and sharing the remarkable world of insects. He began developing public educational programs in 2013 for Wyndham in Sedona, Arizona, and has since created engaging insect exhibits and interpretive experiences for diverse audiences. In 2024, he collaborated with California State Parks to design new insect displays and educational programs. The success of these initiatives has led him to become an independent speaker, bringing dynamic and accessible entomology programs to communities throughout the region.
